How do you kill kudzu?

I just bought a house a couple of months ago, and the backyard is now almost completely covered up. HELP!!!!

How do you kill kudzu?
This is one of those things that requires you to resort to chemical warfare. Do not cut it back. You need the foliage to introduce the chemical into it's system. Buy concentrated Round Up and mix it double strength. (seriously) Spray it on and wait for it to die. It will almost die. It will struggle. In about two weeks most of it will look dead, but it will start sprouting up again. Kick it while it's down and spray it once more. Then if it gives you any crap, hit it again and again until it's toast.

Forget trying to dig it out or cut it back. It will win.

Round Up will attack the root system via the leaves. This will work, just don't give up.
Reply:I would recommend Round Up for Poison Ivy, Kudzu(yellow and white bottle), it comes in a 1.33 gal ready to use and a 32 oz concentrate if you have a very large area. You can purchase this product at Home Depot or Lowes. It works like a charm! Good Luck!
Reply:ROUNDUP- it will kill it. But KUDZU WILL RETURN!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:Goats

Cut it at the stump and burn the stump then paint the inground portion with some stump killer and dont let it resprout
Reply:Kudzu is very serious. It can grow 4-6" a day!! You'll have to rent a big torch.....slash and burn, burn the roots out.
Reply:Oh, boy. You know, there was a billboard for a cellular company in my hometown that said, "We cover more of Alabama than kudzu." That's saying something!

From what I can tell, it's a big problem because it grows so fast and is hard to kill. See the sources below for some info on how to tackle your problem.

Good luck!
Reply:borrow some goats %26amp; find the tuber %26amp; dig it up
Reply:a shotgun :)
