Look at how many of these have been put in place.

Isn't Communism is creeping up on our country like kudzu?
Between creeping socialism then communism and the coming North American Union, we won't even know America in just a few years. I don't know how to stop it. Our politicians go along with way too much and ignore or dismiss our concerns. I am so sad for my children and grandchildren.
Reply:Thank you. You are a sweet person. Report It
Reply:Yes, I think it has to do largely to number of foreigners that support communism that are coming to the U.S. . In many latin countries, dead communist leaders and militants (like Che, Mao, Stalin,...) are idolized.
Some of the biggest supporters of unions and communist ideas are people that have Latin-America accents. They have made their way into U.S. politics and into leadership roles at powerful unions. They are on liberal-media TV networks in the Southwest on a regular basis.
To those that think communism is good. Here are some facts:
1) 100 Million dead and counting because of communism.
2) Chinese leaders still pray to the mass murder that killed 70 million people.(newest figure is 70 million dead)
3) Each year that goes by, China points more missiles at the U.S. and at U.S. soldiers stationed in Asia.
4) China is trying to bankrupt the U.S. by devaluing its currency while pegging the dollar.
5) A communist general in China has threatened to nuke the U.S.. (2005)
6) A leader of China talked of nuclear bombing Japan. (2006)
7) China still arrests priests for praying. Most of the priests have permanently disappeared.
Some other answers are wrong. The Red Scare was real. The only reason why the U.S.S.R. has nuclear bombs is because an American born communist gave U.S. atomic bomb plans to Russian spys. Over several decades, the U.S.'s atomic bomb plans went around the world. First Russia gave the plans to China. Then China gave the plans to Pakistan and North Korea. A person in Pakistan then gave the plans to Iran. Also, Chinese nuclear bomb plans were found in a military building in Lybia.

Also, F.D.R. was talking about the economy when he said "We have nothing to fear but fear itself".
Reply:First off, what is a communist?
What is a communist system?
Spend some time researching those questions and then get back.

Reply:One need only look at the root of the word "communism" to see that it's intentions really are more pure than capitalists would have us believe. "Communism" as in "community," and "communism" as in "commune," is how Communism was meant to be interpreted. But the meaning was perverted by those who feared it, as we so often fear that which we can not or do not understand and it's peaceful nature robbed from it by those who only sought power for themselves. As a country, we should be judged by how we treat our less fortunate, and right now, we're not doing too well. If you could go to sleep at night knowing that everyone in you country had a job, and a home and that no one would go hungry, why wouldn't you want that?
We are treating our fortunate very well, though. What with the Bush tax cuts that went disproportionately to the richest 1% of the country, the tax loop holes that enable tax cheats and the turning of a blind eye by our government towards those very cheaters. Not to mention the Corporate Welfare that in 2006 alone cost the US taxpayers $92 Billion dollars.
For all of the fear that Communism invokes, as a capitalist society, we still seem to be moving in a somewhat communistic direction. How, you might ask, when our government doesn't and won't take control of the various industries within the US? Simple, they are allowing Corporations to take control of EVERYTHING within our country and the US government is doing nothing to stop it. The US Postal Service moves closer every year to becoming privatized and eventually dissolved by the emergence of FedEx and UPS.
Republicans also tout plans to privatize our schools through voucher programs and through legislation like No Child Left Behind. No Child Left Behind forces teachers to focus only on cirriculum within those standardized tests and if a school performs poorly on those tests, their funding is decreased. Schools that perform poorly need more funding, not less. When parents are then offered vouchers to send their children to a private school, the vouchers don't cover the entire cost. The wealthy can afford to send their children to private schools, the poor and middle class cannot. The wealthy have to pay taxes that pay for your children to go to school, while still paying for their own children to go to a private school. So their ideal situation would be to pay no taxes to fund your childrens educations, while writing off their own childrens educations as an expense when they file their taxes. How do you accomplish that? With legislation like No Child Left Behind that almost ensures the failure of our public schools. When those schools fail, funding is removed, vouchers are handed out, schools close and taxes are lowered. No public schools, no taxes to pay on public schools.
There are only a few examples of companies from every major industry within the US. Automobile manufacturers? Well, there are thirty-two types of cars, but many are conglomerates which whittles the number down to about fifteen or so. Cell phone service providers? Six or seven. Oil companies? Probably a dozen or so, but you'd be hard pressed to find an oil company that hasn't merged with another such as Exxon-Mobil. When you have corporations moving closer and closer towards monopolization can a new hybrid capitalistic communism be far behind?
No one corporation defines this more than WalMart. I was informed by a former Walmart manager, that Walmart instructs their managers to go to local competitors and record their prices. Upon return to their store, they slash Walmarts prices lower than the competition until the competition goes out of business. Then WalMart simply raises their prices back to what they used to be. If this practice continues to go unchecked, Walmart will eventually drive all of it's competition out of business and will become the only retailer.
This trend will continue on and on in every industry, and in the end, there will be only one. One giant Corporation controlling everything, controlling the rates they charge for goods and services, violating workers rights, setting wages, keeping all the wealth for themselves, and oppressing all resistance to their despotic regime.

Reply:Yakov Smirnoff was a comedian from Russia who in the 1980's used to mock our Country by comparing our society to Russia.
Waiting in lines.
Food lines.
Welfare
The list goes on and on.
While he was joking about our society and all our flaws - being paralleled to those in Russia, he was also being honest and people laughed it up and ignored the facts he was using as material.
So, add that and another 25 years later and here we are... Even closer to reality by being a socialistic country.
Reply:Whatever...I find the lingering paranoia about a potential Commie takeover far more interesting than the document.
Reply:The war on poverty changed from President Kennedy's inaugural address "My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you: Ask what you can do for your country." To how can a politician buy your vote with a new entitlement. If it wasn't for the Republicans' contract with America Clinton would have added new entitlements rather than ending generational welfare.
Martin Luther King Jr. also was a man that believed one contributes to the society in his I Got a Dream speech he said "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." Character is contribution Not leeching on your fellow man.
Today's Liberals don't appear to have these same high ideals. Remember the entitled can't feel appreciation - after all they are entitled. It is funny the Liberals hate those born with a silver spoon in their mouth. They complain they have no ambition. They say they've stopped contributing to society. Their solution I love even more - they create the entitled. Now the "Rich" %26amp; the "Poor" don't contribute to society. At least the "Rich" families support themselves.
Reply:An article from 1963??? Oh come on. Communism is not a threat to us today. And, after reading the document you sent, you've got to be kidding me. It is nothing but a piece of red baiting propaganda which I ever heard. I'm more concerned with the fascist direction this current presidential administration is taking us on than what happened in 1963.
That said, I'll play along anyway:
So what you are saying is that you would rather destroy every one on the planet with nuclear war than have Universal Health care. That's what I read in your site.
1. U.S. acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
Uh, yeah. I'd rather let people of other countries decide what government they want for themselve than engage in global nuclear war. HELLO!
You should read this sight, it's hilarious:
7. Grant recognition of Red China. Admission of Red China to the U.N.
Hate to inform you but it was Nixon that did this. He wasn't liberal or communist, but one could surely argue that he was a fascist.
13. Do away with all loyalty oaths. People in the Bush administration thought they were taking a loyalty oath to Bush and not the country and Constitution when they took office. Again, another fascist move.
Reply:Call me a Communist if you want to, but I'm no fan of nukes.
Reply:Hillary. Enough said.
Reply:Yeah and the Dems will welcome it with open arms by claiming those with common sense are being intolerant!
Reply:Yes.
Like some foreign and invasive plant or animal that hitched a ride on a cargo ship and has infested the socio-political ecology of America.
Sorry for the mini-rant but I am concerned about the direction of our country; in particular if Hillary is permitted to control policy.
Reply:Yes it is, except that Liberals won't admit they're responsible for it.
Reply:Nice. An article from 1963. That's probably the last time anybody was even concerned about Communism. The Cold War is over. Let it go.
Reply:These socialistic and communist ideals crop up during times of economic prosperity, like when they first reared their ugly heads during the industrial revolution. History repeats itself today under the current positive economy. Liberals cant stand economic prosperity, which inevitably will leave some folks behind. These folks who failed to stud and learn history are doomed to repeat the same mistakes again.
Socialists and commies see many poor not enjoying the fruits of capitalism and force those who have to give it up. The average impoverished person in the US today rents or owns a house, owns/leases a car less then 3 years old, has tvs and a number of other luxuries rich people of the past would salivate over.
Thanks for sharing Hugo Chavez' daily commandments with us. Its clear to what rule he abides by.
Reply:Put in place by the Democrats.
Democratic Secular Socialists, look it up, that is who they are, lead by Soros and the Shadow Party, they intend on destroying this great nation in order to take control.
The fact that some many good Americans, democrats, allow this to continue, the country being destroyed all because the socialists, who only represent a small fraction of the party, are intent on taking control.
Come on Democrats, are you going to let the socialists steal your party and your country.

Actually we are closer now to Fascism than Communism at this point but still very very far from either.
