Will anything kill the kudzu vine?

The U.S. Forest Service is working on an experimental fungus that might be applied to kudzu eradication but currently experts say to destroy the roots or it will simply grow back. Also the grazing animals as has been suggested is also a recommended way of eliminating the invasive vine.

Will anything kill the kudzu vine?
If that is a house plant my wife can kill it !!!
Reply:Actually, goats like to eat it. Here in NC, some goat farmers actually rent out their herds to public utilities to clear kudzu.

As for killing it, there are all sorts of nasty chemical herbicides that will kill it, but these treatments have create other problems.
Reply:Flame, radiation, shredding, explosives, lots of stuff. As to selectively killing it, use pesticides.
Reply:Do a general search for KUDZU ERADICATION and you'll get several sites from universities and state agricultural agents.
