Where can i find kudzu root?

would i find it in an oriental grocery store? any other names it goes by that i need to know of?

Where can i find kudzu root?
I am a former chef and worked in Asia and Japan, it is not readily available even there either, the starch as the fellow said is a good alternative, and the kudzu that they grow in the US south is used more as a salad veg/cooked like collard greens and the roots are normally 6-12" long when harvested and dried then peeled and ground into a starch for cooking, dessert and is used in the preparation of Konyaku with the wild mountian yam in Japan, it is a jelly like food that is diced or sliced and used like noodles or starch veg in braised dishes.

Now if you live in a large metoropalitian area with an extensive Asian community, with a considerable grocery area, you may find dried, I have seen it here in Toronto Canada were I live, and we have a very large Chinese/Vietnamese and Japanese community, check your local outlets but it my be the Whole Foods or an Asian food store for the dried roots or starch powder.
Reply:The raw plant or root I don't know if you can get, but the starch I buy at Whole Foods.

They have it with the aisle with Asian foods, right next to the seaweed.
Reply:The state of Georgia is loaded w/ kudzu---try specialty stores in the Atlanta area.
Reply:health food stores

or the side of the road throughout the south.
